Did you know that today is Random Acts of Kindness Day? The is the day of the year when we celebrate being kind to each other and perform random acts to show how much we care. And it doesn't have to be for someone that you know either. It could be that you pay for the coffee for the next person in the queue at the coffee shop, or buy a meal for a homeless person. There are so many things you can do to make someone's day a little better. Here's a few more ideas:
Send a thank you note to the local hospital / police / fire brigade
Put your skills to work for someone in need
Pay someone a compliment
Give up your seat on the bus or train
Visit an elderly or lonely person
Smile at someone! 😊
Lots of these things don't cost you anything but they can make a BIG difference to someone's day.
So, in a true act of randonmess, I have decided to help try and make this world a little better for someone, and you get to help me choose who this will be!
I want you to contact me here with the name of your favourite charity, tell me a little about it and why it is close to your heart. I will then pick one charity from random and make a £25 donation to their funds. Please put 'Random Act of Kindness' in the subject line.
This must be a bona fide charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. If your charity is chosen I will ask you to provide me with their contact and website addresses for authentication.
You have until the end of Friday, 21st February to get your nominations in and I will randomly pick the winner, which will be announced during week commencing Monday 24th February, 2020.
And just a final thought. Wouldn't the world be a much nicer place if we were kind to people every day? This should be something that comes naturally to all of us, we shouldn't need to have a National Awareness Day to prompt us into action.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sharing the cake love!
