With the wedding season coming into full swing, the internet is awash with pictures of beautiful wedding cakes. I just can't help myself when it comes to looking at pictures of cakes. There are sooo many talented cake designers out there that it is difficult to choose which cakes I like the best. I found all these cakes whilst scrolling through Pinterest and it is fair to say that there are many, many more cakes that I could have included in this list but I picked out these because there was something about them that caught my eye. So, without further ado and in no particular order, here are my ten favourites today:
This pretty floral hoop wedding cake with realistic sugar flowers, complemented with hand dyed sage green silk ribbons.

This stylish tall cake with stained glass window effect and statement rose. I love the blended shades of pink and blue. Just perfect for a smaller wedding.

Something which is right on trend at the moment is this ombre violet to lilac naked cake combining two of the most popular trends - layers of different coloured sponge, often seen as rainbow cakes, and the elegant simplicity of a naked cake. The flowers on the top are a perfect match. This cake would also make a great birthday cake.

Sticking with the purple theme, how about this stunner? Pantone purple with gold leaf and handmade sugar orchids.

Then there is this beauty. Shades of pink and blue with gold again and another statement rose but used in a completely different way to the cake above.
